Meet Thomas
Thomas Bell is a dedicated clinician with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate addiction recovery, mental health challenges, trauma, and crisis intervention. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Addiction in 2020 from Southern New Hampshire University and continued his education to complete a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024.
With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Thomas has worked extensively in psychiatric units, outpatient clinics, and crisis response services, supporting individuals facing complex challenges. His work has included helping those with traumatic brain injuries, individuals involved in the criminal justice system, and people struggling with substance use disorders. Most recently, he has provided crisis counseling, an area that aligns with his passion for guiding individuals through moments of distress with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Thomas approaches therapy with a holistic, person-centered philosophy, recognizing that each individual’s journey is unique. He incorporates somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and psychodynamic theories to create tailored treatment plans that support deep healing and personal growth. His mission is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to take control of their lives.
Drawing from his own lived experience in recovery, Thomas understands the strength, resilience, and challenges that come with healing. Now, with 15 years of sobriety, he is passionate about breaking stigma, increasing access to compassionate care, and advocating for mental health and substance use disorder awareness. He is also a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring that all individuals receive affirming and inclusive support.
When he’s not working, Thomas finds peace and renewal in nature, enjoying mountain biking, hiking, and meditation as part of his own well-being. As a single father to a teenage daughter, he values balance, self-care, and strong, supportive relationships. His commitment to mental health advocacy and recovery-oriented care continues to shape his work, empowering individuals to move forward with hope, strength, and purpose.
