Meet Amy
Amy is a compassionate, client-focused clinician with a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New England in 2014 and brings years of experience working in hospital-based case management. In that role, she provided critical care coordination and advocacy for patients facing complex medical, mental health, and social needs—an experience that shaped her passion for whole-person, integrated care.
After stepping away from the field to raise her children, Amy returned to clinical work with renewed purpose and energy. Her time away deepened her understanding of the pressures individuals and families face in everyday life and further inspired her commitment to creating a therapeutic space that is empathetic, grounded, and empowering.
Amy takes a holistic and strengths-based approach to therapy, believing that healing begins when individuals feel safe, heard, and respected. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and cognitive reframing. She also incorporates mindfulness and psychoeducation as appropriate, tailoring her methods to meet the needs of each individual she serves.
Amy works with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma-related symptoms, caregiver stress, and burnout. She is especially passionate about helping clients navigate periods of change with confidence and clarity, guiding them toward greater self-awareness, balance, and personal growth.
Outside of her clinical work, Amy finds joy in the natural beauty of Maine. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family—skiing, boating, biking, and exploring the state's scenic landscapes. She believes strongly in the power of self-care and connection, and strives to bring those values into her work with clients every day.
